For this reason, some foods stand out in terms of their ability to have many vitamins in them and to meet many needs at the same time. Our favourite super food: Artichoke
One of the most widely known foods is artichokes. The benefits of artichokes are countless. We should remind you of the belief that ’If you eat artichokes for 40 days, your liver will be renewed” which is a well-known saying in Anatolia. You can cook the artichoke heart with various vegetables or you can consume the flower. If you prefer to bake baby artichokes in a grill or oven, you can also taste it. Vitamin B1 and vitamin C, rich in vitamin A, also helps the digestive system and regulates the cholesterol balance.
A Strong Antioxidant: Savoy Cabbage
Another super food which is well-known by Anatolian people and especially consumed in the Black Sea region. It is a strong antioxidant in savoy cabbage which helps combat inflammation and infection. Savoy cabbage rich in Omega3 and omega6 helps to lose weight. It is also a natural source of folate (folic acid). The savoy cabbage is combined with various cereals to cook some delicious soups which are beneficial for your health. You can also use the leaves to make stuffed savoy cabbage leaves. Black beans, which allow the digestive system to work quickly, can be added into many dishes. You can also consider it as a material that you put in taco as South Americans or Spaniards do. Black beans are a good food source but not so easy and quick to cook and boil. Don't forget to keep it in the water for a day and boil it with bay leaf.
