The charming fishing village of the Bosphorus: Poyrazköy

Poyrazköy on the Anatolian side is a charming village built on a hill from the Anatolian Kavağı to the Black Sea. This is one of the places where the most beautiful view of the Bosphorus can be seen. It is also a center of attraction because it is a quiet village away from the crowd. There are three beaches in Poyrazköy. There are also facilities and restaurants around the beach. If you wish, you can get on your motorcycle and go up to 600-year-old Poyraz Castle or you can have a picnic as a family.

You should see the observation tower when you happen to visit the village. Moreover, there is no wild waves of the Black Sea in Kerpe, the sea is very calm and still. This coastal town beside Istanbul appeals to both your soul and your eyes with the pine trees that surround the sandy beach of kilometers long. In Kerpe, the beach is covered with fine sand.

Kumcagız Bay attracts attention with its shallow sea up to 500 meters. Kapri Bay or Kovanağızı Beach are also two places worth seeing in the region. It is not enough to enjoy the sea when you come to visit Kerpe. Among one of the must-do activities is to visit the Pembe Kayalar. It is also possible to do trekking on the old Kerpe Road, to taste the famous Kandira yoghurt and to shop organic at the local market. Yedigöller National Park, located 300 kilometers from Istanbul, has four seasons of different beauty. Here, Büyükgöl, Seringöl, Deringöl, Nazlıgöl, Küçükgöl, İncegöl and Sazlıgöl, Sülüklü Lake, Sunnah Lake, Beşpınarlar, Aladağ Göksu and Gölcük Tabiat Parks are the focus of interest with its endemic plant species and animal population. Sportive handline fishing in the lakes of Bolu, bird watching in the plateaus and mountains, horse trekking and paragliding can be pleasant activities. You can camp in the national park for a few days or you can walk among fagus, oak, hornbeam, mountain alder, larch, linden and yew trees.

The Journey Above the Clouds: Çiğdem Plateau

Within the Sakarya provincial borders, located in the Elmacık Mountains near Hendek and with an altitude of 1.400 Çiğdem Plateau, takes its name from the crocuses covered during spring and autumn. After taking the turn of Hendek to Sakarya, you will reach Kurtuluş Village worming through. After passing the village, you will reach the Turnalı Plateau first and then Çiğdem Plateau, going under the giant hornbeam trees by the lake.

There is also a large area covered with unique grass, small and slightly inclined hills, where there are some houses famous for their structure. You can go trekking on trekking paths with different difficulties in spring and summer and stay in tent camps in the evenings. There is not eating, drinking and accommodation facilities on the plateau but there are plenty of eating and drinking facilities along the road to Kurtuluş Village in Hendek. Another way to Çiğdem Plateau is through Dokurcun. Likewise, Dokurcun has places to eat or shop.

A Unique Piece of Nature: İğneada

Iğneada is in the province of Kırklareli with a three-hour scenic journey from Istanbul. Our route is to Çerkezköy, Saray, Vize, Poyral, Demirköy and finally İğneada. In İğneada, there is a wetlands / lumber ecosystem between the sea and the forest called floodplain. If you are into a bit adrenaline, you can take a canoe tour at Mert Lake or an ATV tour with a guide as other options... Then, you can go down to the Black Sea coast and go swimming in the sea at Limankoy. There is a modest facility right on the beach.

In İğneada, you will witness the leaves of the oak forest trees in thousands of shadows of green in spring and summer, and may be fascinated by harmony of yellow, orange and red during autumn. The surroundings are green. As you exit the highway, you drive through lovely village houses. Terkos is one of the three natural lakes of Istanbul. The lake, which is very close to the Black Sea, is well-known for its pureness. After a journey of about an hour, you can enjoy the nature around the lake.

There are plenty of places to eat in the neighborhood. Besides, the fish restaurants in Karaburun are very budget-friendly and has fish worth tasting. There are many facilities around the vicinity. You can also have a picnic if you like. Let's not forget that photographers who like to take
