It is in this city that you will get confused about the night, the day, the morning and the evening. Because the day is not 24 hours here. Time is fleeting so differently that you would never know when it ends or whether it ends. The bridges connecting the continents do not know the time, either. They only keep greeting the sun every day.

Maiden’s Tower ,to some extent, has become both an eye witness and an expert witness of Istanbul. Located on a tiny island, Maiden’s Tower tries to figure out what's going on in this chaotic city. It waits for the day to begin and it is there again at sunset. Just as it has eye witnessed what the city has been going through, it keeps gazing at the sunset everyday ...

Consider yourself lucky if you get the chance to spectate the sun in this beautiful city over the minarets as this opportunity is not granted to everyone. In this respect, The Blue Mosque accepts the compliments. Since the 1600s, this old construction has not only witnessed the change of the city but the sunrise and the sunset every day. If asked, what could it possibly be telling us about the city, about what’s happening or not ?

And of course those living through Istanbul ... They have managed to begin the day with great hopes and stand still in this exhausted and old city. They have been fed with the sustenance that offered by this city, where they are loved, lived and died. The day neither began nor ended for them. They have always been here and will continue to be.
