Alkaline nutrition is the key to a long and happy life

Unhealthy nutrition and especially the consumption of acidic beverages is one of the factors that negatively affect human health. It is possible to clear the liquid content in our body from acidic values, i.e. to go into an alkaline state with simple applications. Chemical engineer and spiritual consultant Yasemin Derya Metin explained the details of alkaline nutrition.

The water, which constitutes the 75% of our body, isn’t alkaline due to the conditions we live in and unhealthy nutrition, and the acidic state causes us to become vulnerable to diseases.

Chemical engineer and spiritual consultant Yasemin Derya Metin explained how to have an alkaline nutrition, how to protect our body and make it resistant to diseases.

Can you tell us about yourself?

I was born in Adıyaman in 1978. I completed my primary, secondary and high school education in Kayseri. In 2000, I graduated from İnönü University, Department of Chemical Engineering. I moved to Istanbul in 2001 and worked as a chemical engineer in various sectors, mainly in the production sector for 10 years. Throughout my working life, I received energetic healing techniques training that will allow you to see life from different perspectives. At the end of 2013, I left the sector I worked and started spiritual counseling. In order to be a guide to those who want to walk on the path of spiritual development, I have written the book called 'I Make Life Easy' which includes meditation and affirmation techniques. I'm working on my second book right now.

What is the general definition of alkaline diet?

Our body structure needs to be alkaline. We can define alkalinity as the PH value of our body fluid is above 7.0. However, due to our conditions and nutritional habits, the acid content in our body is increasing. Carbonated drinks and caffeine increase the acidity of water in our bodies. If the body remains acidic for a long time, physical disorders and diseases occur.

How can we make the water in our body alkaline?

I have a 2-phased approach. First of all, we bring an arrangement to the fluids and nutrients we intake to make the water in our body alkaline with scientific methods. The second phase is about changing the way we think. Our thoughts and emotions have a direct impact on the food we eat and drink. I teach how to create this effect through various affirmation methods.

More than 75 percent of our body is water. We are actually in a dilute saline solution. When we begin to purify this water density from acid and make it alkaline, we are going into a healthy and happy state. This creates a domino effect in the body and plays a major role in solving other problems. When the body becomes alkaline, the life cycle of the human becomes very high quality and the immunity to diseases increases, which also prolongs life.

What are the differences between an alkaline body and acidic body?

When the body is alkaline, the organs and systems in the body work more healthily. Because that's the normal state. But when the body is acidic, it gets more tired to rebalance itself. The 40 percent of our body energy is needed to maintain life functions. The 60 percent of it is necessary for the renewal of the immune system, organs and tissues. When we make our body acidic, this 60 percent is trying to make the body alkaline again. In other words, the energy required for the renewal of the body is wasted.

What diseases can be prevented through alkaline diet?

When we have an alkaline diet, we leave many diseases behind, especially psoriasis. Our immune system is getting stronger and more resistant to diseases. Especially flu and colds are not experienced or last for a very short period of time.

How alkaline are the waters in the market?

Some of the water sold on the market has PH values. Those with a PH value of 7 or above are considered alkaline. The pH value of an acidic body is 5.5. To increase this, you need to consume liquids with PH values of 7 and 8 and give up on acidic or caffeinated beverages. That’s a method of consuming high pH values to make the body alkaline. There is one issue to be noted here: the chemicals in these waters can form kidney stones. Instead of this type of water, I have a simpler and risk-free proposition. A completely healthy method of using bicarbonate.

How do we use bicarbonate?

Sodium bicarbonate sold in pharmacies, and it’s also called as British Carbonate, is the substance that causes the body to become alkaline. When dissolved in water, chemically, bicarbonate ions increase the pH value of water to 8 and above. When you consume this water, your body gradually becomes alkaline. It is more accurate to buy bicarbonate from pharmacies. A daily teaspoon of British carbonate can be consumed by mixing in two liters of water. It should not be consumed directly. It dissolves more quickly in warm water.

What else can make the body alkaline?

Apple cider vinegar is a very important element to make the water alkaline. Acid in apple cider vinegar creates a buffer effect when mixed with water. So when you drink acidic beverages during the day, this apple cider vinegar creates a buffer effect and prevents acidity in your body. Mixing 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar into 2 liters of water will stop the acid rise in the body. In addition, healthy salt consumption is also very important. The sodium ions in the salt provide cellular nutrition. If there is not enough salt in our body, the cells cannot be fed. Eat as much as you want, you cannot provide nutrition at the cellular level. If we use Himalayan salt or rock salt instead of normal refined salt, we can ensure cellular nutrition.

What are the effects of our feelings and thoughts on our bodies?

This is the training I am giving to my clients in the second phase. First, we put body chemistry into a positive order and then I support it by affirming our thought structure. The basis of the theory of effects of our thoughts on water is based on Maseru Emoto's experiments. Emoto is crystallizing the water and taking photos. Likewise, a water sample taken from the sewer is frozen and photographed. Then the frequency of the same sewage water with beautiful words is photographed again, and finally there is a visible improvement in the form of the water crystals. Since we have a great proportion of water, the materials of the T-shirts we wear, the music we listen to, what we say or think all have an effect. Because of the structure of water, all the elements around water are absorbable. That's why our negative thoughts, anger and hate are very effective in making the water in us acidic. Positive emotions; joy and happiness make the body alkaline.

What is the nature of the trainings you give at this phase?

In the studies of Masaru Emoto, words that make the water crystallize in the best way are words of love and gratitude. The frequency of your words is much stronger than we thought. If we use this kind of positive words more often, we will notice the effects in our body immediately. If a person is angry, if one’s work is bad, if one has a fight with his wife, one loads the anger to everyone near him or her. Especially liquids are getting energy very quickly. Not only water, for example, the liquids inside the fruits we eat are taking this negative energy instantly. It is very important not to be negative, especially while eating. Being positive and affirming during the meal is a way of increasing the benefit of the food we eat.

What are the positive developments in people who have been taking alkaline diet sessions so far?

An advisee complained about sun allergy. First we made physical studies and made the body alkaline. Then I gave information about how to turn thoughts into positive thoughts. Then, my advisee spent a very relaxed and peaceful holiday in the following summer.

We started to work with another advisee who had a severe migraine problem about what as/he should not eat first. We found out that headache was triggered when s/he consumed leaven. Then, we worked on making the body alkaline, after which my advisee also lost weight.
